Topia Celebrates World Earth Day.

Dear Partners,

Creating a world for our children to be proud of for generations to come is top of mind at Topia. While World Earth Day shines a critical light on the impact the human footprint leaves behind on the planet, it also highlights actionable events and efforts to reduce the load to create a better outlook for the planet.

This year, we are proud to announce a partnership with Greenpop, a local non-profit organisation committed to restoring ecosystems and empowering environmental stewards through forest restoration, urban greening, food gardening, and environmental awareness projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. For the month of April, Topia has pledged to plant one tree, through Greenpop, for every water dispenser sold or rented from us in a continued effort to play our part in World Earth Day 2022, as well as the sustainability of the planet.

In addition, we have made the decision to do away with staff birthday gifts and rather give a gift that keeps on giving, by planting a tree in honour of their trip around the sun. Topia challenges friends and partners to reach out to the Greenpop to start a conversation and join what they call a ‘Treevolution’ in your own community.

A sterling example of a Topia partner who echoes the earth-conscious ethos is The Culinary Table restaurant in Lanseria, Johannesburg. Along with the installation of our Flow 105 system to eliminate the need for pre-packaged plastic water the restaurant has adopted a garden-to-table approach to business by incorporating sustainability measures such as on-site composting, carbon regeneration, rainwater irrigation and formidable recycling efforts.
